It is progressive by creating a full-time, rewarding entertainment company that lets individuals fully realize their creative expression as artists, entertainers, and students. Q: What is the Human Harmony Music Academy?

A: A music academy that is designed to empower and uplift the lives of all students through music.  It  offers private piano lessons and voice instruction and is planning to meet the needs of the Seattle community by developing:

  • A summer and after school program for elementary to high school students that will focus on music and offer educational tutoring.
  • Two choirs that will vocally  train 5-12year olds, and teenagers-young adults
  • Various ensembles (drumming, singing etc)

 Q: Is Human Harmony non-profit?

A:  We have completed the Washington state non-profit registration and will complete the 501-c3 process by the end of the year.

   Q: Is Human Harmony just serving the African American community

A:  No, human Harmony is about bringing together people of all cultures and age groups to uplift and inspire all lives through music and creativity

 Q: Where is Human Harmony located?

A: Human Harmony operates out of Washington Middle School and other scattered sites.  It is our hopes to move into a permanent home the beginning of 2007.

 Q: How long has this company been running?

A: Human Harmony the recording studio has been running for over 10 years.  The Music Academy and Production has been running for over 4 years.

 Q: If I donate, what will my money go towards?

A:  You can support our upcoming production; you can sponsor children who would love to take lessons but can’t afford to; you can support our building fund; You can support the purchasing of childrens music instruments for students to play; you can put money towards hiring teachers that will teach various instruments.

 Q:  How can I help Human harmony if I can not give monetarily now?

A: Please invite your friends and come support our productions and events We keep an updated calendar in the news/calendar section. Also you can donate your time or in-kind items which go directly to the Academy.  Also, please come and volunteer in the parades and social events we participate in. Human Harmony Executive assistant to the president
 

Performs a variety of administrative and staff support duties for a specified unit/department, which require a range of skills and a knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Assists and directs visitors, and resolves administrative problems and inquiries; composes, edits, and proofreads correspondence and reports, and prepares a range of administrative documents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinates and performs a range of staff and/or operational support activities for the unit; serves as a liaison with other departments and operating units in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational problems.
  2. Provides administrative/secretarial support for the department/division such as answering telephones, assisting visitors, and resolving and/or referring a range of administrative problems and inquiries.
  3. Operates personal computer to compose and edit correspondence and/or memoranda from dictation, verbal direction, or from knowledge of established department/division policies; may prepare, transcribe, compose, type, edit, and distribute agendas and/or minutes of meetings.
  4. Schedules and coordinates meetings, events, interviews, appointments, and/or other similar activities for supervisors, which may include coordinating travel and lodging arrangements.
  5. Prepares or assists with the preparation of scheduled and/or ad hoc statistical and narrative reports; performs basic information gathering and analysis and/or forecasting, as specifically directed.
  6. Assists unit management and staff in problem solving, project planning, and development and execution of stated goals and objectives.
  7. Establishes, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, and/or other documents; develops and maintains data, and performs routine analyses and calculations in the processing of data for recurring internal reports.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

The Community outreach coordinator/events coordinator:

The main function for the community outreach coordinator is to be the herald for human harmony and the major facilitator for all performances for the academy as well as the theatrical and musical teams.  IT is expected that this individual will have a team of booking agents to insure the success of the Human Harmony vision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop future potential venues for the academy and theatrical team.
  2. Be the liaison between events coordinator and human harmony.
  3. Be able to articulate the vision of human harmony.
  4. Send out press packages and follow up with phone and email
  5. Search the web and newspapers for community festivals and parades
  6. Search the web and newspapers for any big organization lunches, society banquets, award ceremonies, church organizations, community ceremonies or book signings that we possibly can be entertainment for.
  7. Accumulate a database of the following details of each potential venue (event name, description, location, date of event, coordinator, contact, financial costs, sound requirements, stage size, insurance requirements, date, seating capacity, revenue demographics, city location and past performances)

MARKETING COORDINATOR – Human Harmony

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create a marketing plan and communicate its contents the board and strategy team.

2. Create strategies to attract new audience members. Undertake research to identify possible

audience members.

3. Distribute marketing budget for each event.

4. Communicate recognition requirements to board and strategy team for sponsors.

5. Coordinate the publicity and advertising for all performances and functions

6. Work with Audio, visual and graphic departments to assure promotional materials meet the requirements of each production.

7. Coordinate events and requirements with promoter.

8. Coordinate marketing plans for the Human Harmony Academy

9. Coordinate internal and external communications about events.

10. Plan and organize special events such as fundraisers, concerts, community and promotional engagements.

11. Attend Board Member Meetings

12. Plan and organize special events with community partners.

13. Assist with developing proposals to public and private sectors for funding.

14. Produce a quarterly newsletter

15. Create promotional materials such as posters, programs, newspaper ads, psa, etc.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Marketing certificate/diploma or equivalent experience as a Marketing Manger
